Day 1: Moshi/Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Pick up from Arusha and drive to Mto wa Mbu for a morning cultural tour with hot local lunch and then afternoon game drive into Lake Manyara National Park. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara's unique tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

Day 2: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

Non game-viewing travel time: 6 hours. Distance: 205 km.
After breakfast, drive towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive in time for a picnic lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. The Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source and attracts wildlife.

Day 3: Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This area is good for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich, and cheetah sightings. In the afternoon, follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes around the Masai Kopjes. The kopjes attract lions and are great for wildlife sightings during the dry seasons.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

After early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed lunch and a game drive en-route. Stopover at Olduvai Gorge, where the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered significant links in the chain of human evolution. You will arrive in time for leisure.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After your breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife on a full-day crater tour with picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. You will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner. Later, drive back to Arusha arriving in time for a drop-off.
